Live Embroidery Events with Berlin Chainstitch
We come equipped with a vintage chainstitch embroidery machine and an artist to stitch names, custom flash, and initials live and on-site.
Chainstitch Embroidery creates one-of-a-kind pieces and your guests will walk away with sweet memories of your event (and a totally unique custom piece too!).
We’re available for events in Berlin, the rest of Germany, and the United States too!

Head over to the “Book Us” section on the header of the site or email hallochen@berlinchainstitch.com with any questions.
-
We're based in vibrant Berlin, Germany, but are happy to travel anywhere within the European Union for events!
-
From country western to varsity jackets, chainstitching uses looped stitches to create a continuous embroidered line. We use a vintage machine that is over 100 years old and though it is a machine, it is hand guided by an expert embroiderer using a small crank!
It looks vintage because it is a vintage process, creating a unique and one of a kind customization for you or your clients.
-
Like the name suggests, it looks like a chain! It evokes vintage charm: think motorcycle patches, varsity jackets, vintage souvenirs...
Chainstitching is hand guided, making each piece unique! We use a thick, fuzzy, cotton thread made in Germany to add to the vintage feel.
-
Chainstitch embroidery works best on non stretchy, flat items such as a denim jacket, a patch, a tote bag, or a bandana.
Based on our experience with events, we suggest having a unique, giftable item specifically for the event—like a hat, tag, or commemorative patch! We find that there’s a greater audience participation when guests are offered a free “entry level” gift, which in turn creates a positive association with the brand.
-
A chainstitching artist can embroider approximately 25 names or monograms in one hour depending on provided materials.
-
Yes, we have the capability to work with other embroiderers to meet your goals. A second embroiderer would double our output time (and is approximately double the cost).
-
Embroidery prices begin at 25 Euros per piece, but our hourly rates are available on request.
-
Chainstitch Embroidery is best for companies interested in a unique activation with a handmade touch.
If you are looking for very small logos, complete uniformity, or 350+ items, digital embroidery might be what you’re after. Afterall, it’s hand vs computer!
